I'm Lauren (she/her) and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and psychotherapist in Portland, OR. I've worked in the field of mental health since 2011 and have maintained a private practice since 2015. I thoroughly enjoy getting to build strong connections with my clients and offer a warm and collaborative approach to therapy. I work from a trauma-informed lens and recognize that you are the expert of your experience. I know that therapy is not "one-size fits all" and integrate a variety of treatment approaches designed to meet each person's needs and preferences. CLIENTS SERVED I offer individual therapy to young adults and adults experiencing anxiety, trauma, grief, and other major life transitions. I also have a particular interest in working with those experiencing pregnancy loss and other challenges in the perinatal and postpartum periods of life. I work with clients with a broad range of cultural backgrounds, gender identities, sexual orientations, and belief systems. I provide online sessions to residents of Oregon and New York limited in-person sessions in Southeast Portland. MY TRAINING I received my Masters in Social Work degree from Columbia University in 2011 with a focus in clinical practice. I've completed additional training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, Perinatal Mental Health, and Prolonged Grief Disorder. I also incorporate psychodynamic psychotherapy, mindfulness techniques, and attachment theory in my work. FINANCES & INSURANCE I am in-network with Moda, Regence, and PacificSource insurance plans. I also work with clients who pay out of pocket. I can provide statements for insurance reimbursement for those who have out-of-network behavioral health benefits. ADDITIONAL SERVICES In addition to therapy, I am approved to provide personal sessions for credit for Beginning and Intermediate level Somatic Experiencing students. I am also an approved supervisor for CSWAs in Oregon seeking clinical licensure.
