Introduction

The capacity of humans to heal is innate. In the therapy process, I provide the space and support for clients to do what they were born to do: adapt and transform. My 21 years of licensed counseling experience has afforded me a unique perspective on trauma and resiliency. I have treated a wide range of diagnoses, and have vast work experience in community education, advocacy, law enforcement, corrections, and corporations. As a trained Cognitive Behavioral therapist, I employ a variety of techniques dependent on the needs of each individual client. I am EMDRIA Certified EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing Therapy) practitioner, trained in Flash Technique and EMDR 2.0, as well as being a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher and a Certified Pilates Instructor. I love to blend mind/body/spirit practices with my “traditional” therapeutic training. All intake paperwork, video sessions, and communication are conducted via a secure, HIPAA-compliant portal system that is HITRUST certified. The HITRUST framework is the gold standard of security certifications in the healthcare industry, and it incorporates the entirety of controls required by HIPAA, PCI, NIST CSF, ISO 27001 and ISO 27002 I am dedicated to continuing education and training to combat discrimination in any form, as well as to promote healing that is inclusive of ethnicity, race, sexuality, and gender experiences.
