Introduction

My experience in counseling started in the field of Education. I realized then my own "heart growing" moments in connecting with individuals, interpersonally, while creating inviting spaces with intentional touches that felt warm, comfortable and a safe place to feel heard... Your experience begins from the moment you walk into the lobby -- please feel welcome to a warm cup of tea or your beverage of choice! My therapeutic style is one that values the Holistic parts to each of you: your mental, emotional, physical and spiritual parts. Each one plays a vital role on your healing journey. On this journey you may be navigating daily stressors that increase your anxiety, family conflicts, insecure attachments to more complex issues of generational trauma and PTSD. I approach healing through somatic processing (sensations felt in the body) while utilizing Brain-Body Based Technique's known as Brainspotting (BSP) & BiLateral Analysis Stimulation Treatment (BLAST), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) also known as multiple parts work. Patiently and compassionately, I'll guide you to notice in your body what you are experiencing and/or parts in your life that are showing up (i.e. sadness part, self-hatred part, inner critic part, perfectionistic part, etc.) -- we call this the "bottom up" approach to processing a trigger or a traumatic event. We start from the brain stem and mid-brain, where feelings may be felt intensely in the body, with the goal of getting to a more grounded and neutral place of calm. Insight into your negative thought patterns is achieved a million times faster in the midbrain (sensations in the body) than traditional talk therapy, which can take years. Your body has kept track of all that you have experienced and intuitively knows best how to heal itSelf without having to relive your traumatic story over and over again. Through our work together, you will begin to feel lighter, space to breathe and relief from triggers and unprocessed trauma without recalling the traumatic event(s) with the same intense feelings from when you first began your process. I would love to help get you to a place of genuine, Love of Self... Reach out to see about scheduling and how we can begin your healing journey!
