Hello! I'm Leslie Lucero (she/her), Client Care Coordinator and Therapist at Activated by Wellness. With a background in Psychology and Spanish, I completed my Masters in Mental Health & Wellness at NYU. Being a woman of color, I recognize the significance of cultural diversity and individual life experiences which is why I prioritize meeting you where you are. I specialize in helping marginalized individuals, and those grappling with trauma, anxiety, inner child work, emotion regulation, and self-esteem issues. LGBTQ+ affirming and culturally competent, I use Narrative Therapy, Strengths-Based Therapy, IFS, and Trauma-Informed Care to tailor the experience to your unique needs and goals. I believe that the therapeutic relationship significantly impacts your overall experience which is why I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space within session. Your wellness journey is yours but together, we can develop the skills that will help you be able to grow, heal, and work through with whatever life throws at you, in and outside the therapy space.
