Hi, I'm Lexi and my pronouns are she/her. I work with two populations of clients. I help young adults and parents who feel like muted versions of themselves and have trouble doing anything that is not “productive”. I also help individuals who have been diagnosed with chronic illness and their caregivers to feel less consumed by the seemingly relentlessness of their condition. I am literate in Mold Illness, CIRS, Lymes Disease, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Multiple Chemical Sensitivities and Environmental Sensitivities. My clients are exhausted and overwhelmed like you are. Despite being smart, savvy, and persistent problem solvers, they find life to be hard. For those with chronic illnesses, despite continuing to seek any and all medical solutions and following all recommended treatment options, they are still left feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, sick, and confused. Like my clients, you deserve to find ease and connection in your body without a to-do list flowing through your head or scanning your body for what’s wrong now. Not being defined by your productivity, your current symptoms, or your role as a caretaker is not out of your reach. I’d love to help you get there. Technical Information: My approach includes ACT, motivational interviewing techniques, and Somatic Experiencing techniques from a trauma-informed lens. I am an Intermediate Somatic Experiencing Practitioner in training. Somatic Experiencing is a nervous system and body-oriented approach to healing trauma and dysregulation within the body. This approach allows clients to get to know their nervous system function, regulation, activation, deactivation and how it may be impacting their movement towards what’s important to them and their relationships with self and others. I have therapy experience in a variety of settings that includes college counseling, adolescent wilderness therapy, and community mental health. I have been in the mental health field for 8 years and working as a therapist for 4 years.
