Hello! My name is Lina Hong and I am an Associate Clinical Social Worker. I have a strong interest in helping individuals with neurodivergency, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, personality disorders, substance use, self-esteem, life transitions, and relationship issues. I have extensive experience working with those who experience severe and persistent mental illness and substance use issues. I have lived experience with being an Asian American who identifies with the LGBTQIA+ community. I am passionate about helping people and in therapy, I let clients guide me to their goals. Or if you don’t know your exact goals, that’s okay too! I’m here to be a listening ear as well as to challenge your thoughts. My therapeutic approach is Person Centered and Strengths Based. I often use evidence based approaches including EMDR, Harm Reduction, Motivational Interviewing, Behavioral Activation, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT). I also enjoy using various forms of art such as writing, coloring, drawing, painting, etc., while working with clients.
