Linda Alvarez is the founder of Inward Journey Therapy. She received her Master's of Social Work from Boston College in 2017. She is a skilled Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with over 8 years experience in various mental health settings including: community health, private practice, residential treatment, home based services, child protection, and hospital sectors. She is experienced working with all ages, various diagnoses, and stages of life and care. Linda enjoys working with all individuals at all phases of life. She encourages clients to search inwardly to continue to empower and strengthen the intrinsic strength they have within them, while supporting them through their journey. She cares to empower all people, especially underrepresented, marginalized peoples and populations, and people working through Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, Grief, Attachment issues, Parent management, DCF involvement and ADD/ADHD symptoms. Linda works to place the client at the center and works with the client to identify the best modality of treatment. Linda is level 3 trained in AF EMDR (Attachment Focused Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) by the Parnell Institute. AF EMDR is a modality utilized to manage and process Anxiety, Addiction, Grief, Phobias, and Trauma.
