Introduction

Hi! My name is Linda Lopez and I am a licensed professional counselor who has 10 years of experience in the mental health field. I teach young men and women how to gain control over their thoughts, build confidence and decrease feelings of shame and guilt. My past work experience includes working in private practice, mental health hospitals and higher education. I work primarily with adults and couples. I am skilled and experienced in working with individuals who struggle with anxious thoughts/feelings, self-esteem, body image, life transitions (such as going to college, newlywed, etc.), communication and boundary issues, depression and past or present trauma. LETS GROW TOGETHER Therapy is meant to be relational. It can challenge you, while also providing compassion and empathy. My hopes are that you feel safe, heard and understood so you can learn and grow into the best version of yourself. I provide a collaborative approach that will focus on equipping you with tools so you can better manage your life. The relationship we build will be professional, but a very real relationship, nevertheless. When appropriate, humor and metaphors are also something I love to use in sessions. I've learned that if we take the time to listen to others, to truly see them, wonderful things can happen. I understand that sharing and being vulnerable is not always easy and would be honored to have you trust me with things that are heavy on your heart.
