Lindsay Meyers
Introduction
My name is Lindsay Meyers, MA, LPCC. Those letters mean that I have my Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and that I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate. As a mental health counselor, my approach will depend on your needs. However, my foundational approaches are strength and value based. Using these approaches I teach clients skills to guide themselves to places of healing, self-compassion, and motivation. There is no magic to it, it is all within you - sometimes we just need someone to help us along, sit with us, be present, teach us skills, encourage us to take risks toward our goals, have patience while we learn or unlearn, challenge us and celebrate our small wins.... Here, you can expect to gain a stronger understanding of your values and how you can lead yourself toward your goals. You will also come to know and use your strengths to give you the courage to be who you deserve to be, your full self. You know you best. I am passionate about Adlerian philosophy and believe courage and community can be key ingredients to healing and knowing ourselves. If I imagine us all as tumbleweeds (our namesake), we are all going where the wind takes us. Perhaps we uprooted intentionally. Maybe we lost the roots that were grounding us. Sometimes we get caught up, pick up garbage, lose track of our direction. And, sometimes we end up right where we need to be.
