I strive to create an environment where my clients will feel safe, valued, and heard. I focus on developing a strong therapeutic alliance which sets the foundation of our work. I emphasize and encourage collaboration within this alliance. I aspire to empower the individuals with whom I work and aim to foster hope and resiliency. I utilize a person-centered approach to therapy where the focus is on developing a warm, positive, validating experience for my clients. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy are also used. Using a combination of approaches enables me to find the best path to help my clients learn how to help themselves. I provide insight and feedback to my clients, drawing from their strengths and abilities to overcome barriers and to identify ways to manage life’s challenges and stressors. I encourage my clients to strive for more, to aim to be better than they were yesterday, and to never stop challenging themselves in order to reach their fullest potentials.
