Introduction

Hi, I’m Lindsay, and I’m here to help your child develop the social-emotional skills they need to thrive and reach their full potential. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 10 years of experience, I specialize in supporting children and their families through a variety of challenges, including anxiety and panic, depression, suicidality and self-harm, trauma, and major life changes. I focus on helping children learn to attune to themselves and regulate their emotions so they can face life’s challenges with confidence and authenticity. Whether your child is struggling to manage big feelings or dealing with the effects of trauma, I’m here to guide them toward healing and growth. Together, we can better understand what your child is communicating and the roots of their behaviors so we know how to best support them. I use the principles of Synergetic Play Therapy and Polyvagal Theory to inform my approach, viewing all behavior as a form of communication. My goal is to create a trusting, safe environment where your child can feel understood and supported. My work is neurodiversity-affirming and trauma-informed, and I recognize that each child has their own unique sensory and support needs. I’ve also had the privilege of working as a school-based therapist in the Jeffco School District, supporting children from preschool through middle school. I’m passionate about collaborating with families and helping you navigate the different systems that impact your child’s life, ensuring they receive the care and support they need both in therapy and beyond. I love being able to use this experience and integrate it into private practice. I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Denver, with a concentration in Children & Youth and a certificate in School Social Work. I look forward to working with you and your child to create positive, lasting change. For more information, visit my site at www.lindsaystenzelcounseling.com
