Introduction

About Lindsey I offer therapy for adults and couples, including intensive session format for EMDR or couples, EMDR consultations as a CIT, and clinical supervision to students or tLMHC. I use a blend of proven therapy methods to meet each person’s unique needs. My training includes Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Ego State Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). EMDR is my favorite—no matter how many times I use it, it still feels like magic. I believe in the strength and potential of every person. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where people can feel comfortable being themselves. I’m a casual therapist—often barefoot and cross-legged–I don’t have all the answers, but I’m here to help you figure them out. I’m also a bit of a nerd when it comes to research and reading, so I can combine the art and science of therapy to help clients grow and thrive. With optimism, humor, and kindness, I aim to build real connections and guide people on their healing journeys. Lindsey Brinker is currently the site supervisor for Becca Hansen and Dana Ferris About Becca: Are you seeking a safe and affirming space where you are empowered to grow, heal, and rediscover yourself? Life’s challenges, whether anxiety, depression, trauma, or major transitions, can feel overwhelming. My trauma-informed, relational approach to therapy is grounded in compassion and collaboration, drawing from Person-Centered Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Personal Narrative, and Attachment Theory. I specialize in working with women (16+) as they navigate anxiety and depression rooted in past experiences, interpersonal challenges, and religious wounds. Together, we rebuild self-confidence and reframe unhelpful beliefs, enabling my clients to gain deeper self-awareness, establish healthy boundaries, and discover their unique voice. With 20+ years of experience in relationship-driven work, I integrate professional training, education, and sincere empathy to create a nurturing and holistic healing space. About Dana: I am a counseling student intern currently working on my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grand View University. My theoretical approach to therapy combines neuroscience, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to find the interventions that best fit each person’s needs. My style of direct communication tempered with humor allows me to compassionately challenge clients without being confrontational to prevent stagnation in the counseling relationship. I enjoy helping people make the connections that will move them in the direction that they want to grow. I work with individuals 21 and over and specialize in boundary setting, difficult in-law relationships, perfectionism, and anxiety. My counseling passion is teaching people how to be kinder to themselves and how to accept themselves for their inherent value as human beings.
