Welcome! If you're looking for a space where you feel supported as you navigate personal growth and healing, we may be a good fit. I believe in creating an empathetic, affirming environment where you can explore yourself in new ways. It is through intentional exploration and reflection that we can identify what we want, what needs to change, and how we have come to be who we are—not only to others, but to ourselves as well. Oftentimes, this looks like exploring past experiences, interpersonal relationships, patterns, and self-image. Over the years, clients have expressed that through our work together, they feel more empowered to advocate for themselves, shift toward healthy dynamics and communication, understand their emotions and anxieties, and process through their harmful experiences and traumas. My approach is very relational as I believe that long-term growth and healing happens within trusting, healthy relationships. My relational lens also means that I see the therapeutic relationship as the catalyst for deep reflection and shifting inner narratives to ultimately work towards lasting change. As someone who holds both privileged and marginalized identities, I am mindful to keep examining how my identities intersect with and impact my clients and how we discuss the systems of oppression that impact mental health and wellness. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I feel passionate about creating a trusting space to support my community's healing and exploration. It can be difficult to find spaces where we feel safe enough to be vulnerable and examine all of our parts with compassion, which is the kind of space I strive to cultivate. I draw from an attachment and systems lens, incorporate elements of Internal Family Systems, and focus on skill development and interpersonal awareness. I am also trained in Mentalization-Based Narrative Exposure Therapy (MBNET) for interpersonal trauma processing; if you are interested in that specifically, please reach out to discuss options. I hold an M.S. in Counseling from Portland State University with a specialty focus on systems, attachment and relationships. For Spring and Summer 2024, I was a supervisor for some of the new counseling students at PSU. Additionally, I hold an M.Ed. in Early Childhood Development from Loyola University in Maryland. When I'm not being a therapist, you can find me around Portland enjoying time with my family, friends, and sweet dogs. Inclusive Connections Counseling offers trauma-informed, culturally responsive therapy that is affirming of BIPOC, queer, trans, and neurodivergent populations. Offering telehealth appts anywhere in Oregon. Currently, I am not offering in-person sessions. If interested, please reach out for a consultation.
