Welcome, I'm glad you're here! I help clients gain a better understanding of themselves, their experiences, and their relationships through exploring the intricacies of what they believe is impacting their lives. Clients have expressed over the years that through our work, they feel more empowered in their lives to advocate for themselves, shift relational dynamics, manage their emotions & anxieties, and process through their experiences and trauma. Therapy can be an important step into self-awareness and relational healing. I do my best to cultivate a trusted, compassionate space so you can feel safe to examine all parts of yourself. I work to understand your experiences, relationships, trauma, identities, and what larger social and generational systems impact you. I believe in witnessing & trying to understand all parts of a person so that we can explore what they want to be different. Lasting, healthy change and healing happens through the lens of compassion, not shame. As someone who holds both privileged and marginalized identities, I am mindful to examine how my identities intersect with and impact my clients and how we discuss the systems of oppression that impact mental health and wellness. I hold an M.S. in Counseling from Portland State University with a specialty focus on systems, attachment and relationships. For Spring and Summer 2024, I was the supervisor for some of the new counseling students in practicum at PSU. Additionally, I hold an M.Ed. in Early Childhood Development from Loyola University in Maryland. In my work with individuals, I use an attachment and systems lens, elements of Internal Family Systems, skill development, compassionate accountability, and interpersonal awareness that help us work towards your goals. With relationships, monogamous and non-monogamous, I use a similar interpersonal approach to help my clients through relational exploration, conflict resolution and creating deeper connections. When I'm not being a therapist, you can find me exploring around Portland, spending time in nature, and enjoying time with my family, friends, and sweet dogs. Inclusive Connections Counseling offers trauma-informed, culturally responsive, community-centered therapy that is affirming of BIPOC, queer, trans, and neurodivergent populations. Offering telehealth appts anywhere in Oregon. Currently, I am not offering in-person sessions. Accepting new clients starting in Feb 2025. If interested, please reach out to get on my list for consultations.
