Introduction

I have over 20 years experience working with children and families in diverse academic, religious, and athletic settings. I believe that most families need a little extra support during difficult seasons of life and there is courage and blessing in asking for help. Your story and experience—and that of your family—is uniquely yours and counseling is not one-size-fits-all. I am an integrative person-centered counselor and play therapist, committed to helping clients heal from past trauma, cope with unexpected life events, and develop stronger relationships. I believe we are designed for relationship and that healing occurs through connection and feeling known. For this reason, I work closely with parents and families to establish goals and navigate the emotional and relational challenges that cause distress in the client’s life and family. For the young, and young at heart, I integrate deep emotional healing and self-awareness through creative expression, art, sand tray therapy, and play therapy. When we cannot find the words to express our pain, our heart and creative brain find a way beyond words. There is a story in all of it and the words will come when we are ready and able to speak them.
