Her areas of focus include supporting adolescents and adults with anxiety, depression, mood and personality disorders, LGBTQIA+ concerns, life transitions, and challenges related to sex and intimacy Liora’s practice is grounded in person-centered therapy, while also incorporating techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness and exposure-based interventions. Her confidence that her clients are the true experts of their lives allows for a non-judgmental, collaborative therapeutic environment where her clients are empowered to explore their challenges, rediscover their resilience, and cultivate self-efficacy, self-acceptance, and self-love. Her background in theatre and performing arts informs her passion for bringing elements of creative self-expression into the therapeutic process. Liora is a mental health counselor practicing under a New York State limited permit. She earned her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Pace University, where she completed a year-long clinical internship at Northeast Psychological Wellness. Liora is passionate about providing multicultural, inclusive care to ensure that clients from all backgrounds, and of all genders and sexual orientations, feel seen, heard, and respected.
