I have a passion for working with children as young as five and their families and also enjoy counseling adults of any age. I am creative and adaptive in my approach to healing. I draw from attachment based and neuroscience supported interventions in my work and am certified in Brainspotting. Brainspotting operates off the premise that "where you look affects how you feel," due to the way that traumatic or emotionally charged experiences are stored in the brain. This technique engages both a client's eye position as well as a "felt sense" of distressing situations, to stimulate healing. I frequently incorporate a family systems approach in my work as well as elements of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulnesss, brainspotting, and directive or non-directive methods of play therapy. My hope is that I can offer a space for healing that is attuned to each client's needs. Partnering with individuals, children and families to address deep struggles in their lives is an honor, and I value the trust that clients share with me in their desire to achieve wellness. Outside of work, I enjoy gardening, cooking, baking, exercising, reading and being outdoors and spending time with my family and friends.
