*** PLEASE NOTE: I am currently accepting new patients for morning and afternoon appts. *** I have been in practice for 20 years. I work with many individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, grief/loss, and major life adjustments. I have specific experience working with those who have chronic illness, brain injury, and pain management issues. I am certified in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for Treatment of anxiety disorders, OCD, social anxiety and phobias. In addition to my Master of Social Work (University of Maryland), I hold a Master of Arts in Theology (Fuller Seminary). While located in College Station, TX, I offer therapy via secure telehealth to individuals across the State of Texas. My approach to therapy draws heavily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, as well as from a Psychodynamic approach. I also incorporate themes such as gratitude and mindfulness. For those with pain management issues, I provide Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Chronic Pain (CBT-CP). This is typically an 8-10 week intervention, which I provide both individually and by group therapy. My approach to therapy is goal-directed; we will establish goals for our time together that you feel meet your needs and your desires for what you want to get out of therapy, and will reassess these often. My desire is that you experience HOPE when we finish a session. This does not mean that all of the challenges in your life will have magically disappeared (though we certainly may wish that were the case). By discovering and holding on to hope, as well as by using specific tools and strategies that you will learn in therapy, you will be empowered to take life changing steps. If you are interested in scheduling a session, or want to learn more about my particular approach to therapy, please contact me in order to schedule a brief phone call (free of charge, see my contact info at the top of this webpage).
