Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Northern Iowa in 2013. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who holds a Certification in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and is National Certified. I had worked within the inpatient and outpatient settings, treating individuals, couples, and families affected by general and severe mental health conditions in different stages of life. I have worked within a wide range of populations; children on the autistic spectrum, a secure treatment facility for juveniles in the court system, Veterans within a group home setting, drug and alcohol both inpatient and outpatient, and children and families as a mobile therapist. My clinical interests include substance abuse, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, trauma, adjustment, stress management, borderline personality disorder, LGBTQIA+ community/concerns, etc. My theoretical approach is Gestalt Therapy but draws from other theories depending on the clients I serve. My main focus and goal for people are to help them connect to a life that will thrive with purpose and meaning. I enjoy outdoor activities, reading, attending concerts, and creative outlets like painting or drawing. Can schedule evening and weekend appointments.
