Introduction

My name is Lori Browning and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who provides counseling to individuals 15 years and older. I obtained my master’s degree in social work from St. Louis University in 1998 and I have over 26 years of experience in both teaching and in working with inpatient and outpatient populations. I serve and treat a variety of different clientele including fellow therapists, adults, adolescents and families. I specialize in treating chronic mental illness, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, grief and loss issues, infertility, parenting, life coaching, LGBTQ experiences, career stressors, and other public or personal life challenges. I am also an approved supervisor for Missouri state licensure candidates. I view counseling as a personal journey and I understand that each client has a unique need to be heard and understood. I realize that some individuals can be avoidant of counseling because of a perceived misunderstanding about how the therapy process works. I want to remove those fears and doubts so each client can experience healing and growth in a compassionate atmosphere without judgement or criticism. I invite anyone who is interested or in need of counseling to visit me and start exploring their new path to health and wellness.
