Lori Walker a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of North Dakota. She has spent most of her professional career working with youth and young adults through a residential training program. In 2012, she was trained by the Utah Coalition Against Sexual Assault, interned at a domestic violence shelter, and is an advocate for women. Lori loves to learn and is always reading or listening to audio books, especially those related to the mind-body connection. She fervently believes in the power of the mind and positive thinking which she believes helped her work through the loss of several close family members. Lori has been married to her best friend since 2010 and is a proud soccer mom of two stepsons. She also has a young daughter who reminds her every day to enjoy the little things in life. Recently, she opened a private practice called Authentic & Meaningful Insights. The name was chosen with the intention of both the therapist and client being as authentic as possible in every session. This authenticity facilitates deeper and more meaningful conversations which naturally generate incredible insights or “aha” moments. We recognize this may not happen in every session. However, our mission is to help people live in an authentic and meaningful way hence we continuously strive for honesty in sessions.
