Introduction

Annie Stermer is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. She received her Bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University and her Masters of Marital Couple and Family Counseling from Idaho State University. She has extensive experience helping individuals with a wide range of issues including marriage counseling, depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma recovery, grief and loss, pain management, relationship issues and divorce recovery to name a few. She also works with partners of sex addicts in both individual and group therapy, from a betrayal trauma model to help them find a path of self empowerment and healing. Annie is a certified EMDR Therapist; a Certified Clinical Partner Specialist through the Association of Partner’s of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists (APSATS) and trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. Annie believes that optimal mental health and happiness are experienced as we build and nurture successful interpersonal relationships. As a counselor, her goal is to help couples and families communicate so that all are heard, understood and respected in an empathic environment that fosters healing and growth.
