Introduction

My name is Louis Gatewood. I am married and a proud father of three children and have to two wonderful grandchildren. I am a resident of Columbia, Missouri and consider myself a MU Tiger's fan. My educational background consists of having a master’s degree in the Science of Psychology MS. I also have a master’s degree of Education in Counseling, M.Ed. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have training and certifications related to a variety of counseling techniques including, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and de-escalation techniques. I continue to offer advocacy and life-changing counseling services to children and adults after 20 years of services. Improving coping skills and cognitive awareness will have a profoundly positive impact on one's well-being while promoting a happier and healthier lifestyle.
