Introduction

I specialize in working with individuals and couples who are struggling with grief and loss, processing and recovering from trauma, managing depression and anxiety symptoms, low self-esteem, managing difficult life or cross cultural transitions, and sexual intimacy and connection. I take a person-centered approach to therapy where existential themes and mindfulness practices are incorporated into the therapeutic healing model of exploration, insight, and action. I believes we are whole and complete, yet the structures and communities we live in might have us feeling like we are lacking, broken, and/or that there is something “wrong” with us. Life can be hard, and it can make us hard. Hard on ourselves, hard on the people we love, and hard on the people we interact with. As we grow and live through the natural stages of life, and the expected and unexpected events that arise, the strategies we consciously or unconsciously developed throughout our life to keep us safe and regulated might no longer be working for us. They might even be causing us distress or dysfunction. Our helpful coping strategies have become unhelpful, and that is where therapy comes in. True healing and health is possible through love and connection to your authentic self, to the people and communities around you, and to the flow of your life. I’m so glad you’re here. https://www.lccounseling.co/
