I am Licensed Professional Counselor with over nine years of experiences working with teens, emerging adults, and adults encompassing a wide range of backgrounds and presenting concerns. I am often described as a warm and calm spirit; that provides an empowering, non-judgmental and affirming space. I integrate an empathetic and collaborative approach to therapy, walking alongside my clients on their personal journey. I received a Master’s degree in Clinical Professional Psychology from Roosevelt University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Tennessee State University. I come into the field with a diverse scope of specialized training in settings such as private practice, public and therapeutic day schools, social service, hospitals, and residential settings enabling me to work effectively with individuals struggling with a wide array of issues. As a counselor, I provide individual therapy utilizing an eclectic approach to therapy; tailoring evidence-based practices to fit the client’s unique needs to maximize growth and progress. Standing from that framework, I specialize in treating Anxiety, Mood, Trauma, and Relationship Concerns utilizing Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution focused therapy and Person-Centered Therapy. My goal as a therapist is to empower and support you throughout your personal journey. I work to provide a safe, nurturing environment; allowing clients to feel comfortable while assisting them with developing the skills necessary to lead their lives in more meaningful ways and better understand and respond to their emotions.
