Throughout our lives, we all have thresholds we must cross. Some of these are easier than others. When these thresholds become a sticking point or seem impossible to cross is when the therapeutic journey can be most impactful. As a polyamorous gay man that grew up in the South, I have often found myself at different thresholds trying to figure out how to move through them. Because of this, as your therapist, I will work to help you find the ability to push through your own thresholds. I am generally eclectic in my approach with clients. I have found in my time working with clients that there is no one magic strategy. Therefore, I work with clients to build an environment of trust and comfort. This is the first and best step toward finding a therapeutic journey that fits each client. To accomplish this, we will work together from our first session to find the strategies that work for you, whether that is engaging readings, sharing music, or using LEGOS to explore your world. Therapy is often an experience that people come into with a wide variety of feelings about. My goal is that while we work together to cross the various thresholds in your life, you will leave session feeling both tired from the journey and empowered knowing the work you have done.
