Welcome to Luna Counseling! I'm Lupe Nambo-Basua, LMFT, a bilingual Latina therapist based in Sacramento, California, offering both telehealth and in-person sessions. I am deeply passionate about healing through a decolonial and anti-racist approach. I invite you to join me on a journey of self-discovery and growth, where we can explore the unique chapters of your life story, embrace your identity, and work towards healing and empowerment. I provide individual mental health therapy in both Spanish and English for teens and adults. As a first-generation daughter of immigrants from Mexicali and Guerrero, Mexico, I understand the complexities and challenges of navigating different cultural identities. My lived experiences and transparency help build a strong connection with my clients, many of whom share similar backgrounds and family dynamics. Individuals often come to me with issues related to assimilation, the pursuit of the American Dream, and cultural identity clashes from childhood to adulthood. Many didn't recognize mental health concerns like depression, anxiety, trauma, and grief until later in life.
