I was born and raised in Los Angeles. I took a strong interest in mental health early in life due to some challenges I faced during my upbringing. The kindness and guidance that I experienced from counselors inspired me to pursue a career that allows me to provide the same assistance that I was able to receive. It would be my pleasure and privilege to be a guiding light for you. My professional journey began as a special education teacher. My focus then moved into the fields of school counseling and community mental health. I have spent over a decade providing therapy for children, adults, and families throughout the county of Los Angeles, with a specific focus on those who have experienced trauma. My primary training is in both various forms of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT, TFCBT) and mindfulness therapy (MBCT, ACT, DBT); nevertheless, I understand that one type of treatment does not work best for everyone and take an eclectic approach to ensure the needs of my clients are being addressed. I strongly believe that everyone deserves access to help when trying to live a better life. I accept you for who you are. I love helping people of all ethnicities, genders, ages, and faiths. I’m also fluent in Spanish if that is the language that you feel more comfortable speaking during our sessions. Another passion of mine is art and listening to live music. It all brings a smile to my face and joy in my heart. I like to include art therapy into my work with clients. I look forward to hearing about the things in life that bring you similar enjoyment.
