I have over 3 years of experience as a therapist in a community mental health agency setting where I worked with multiple high risk populations and people in crisis. Through this experience, I fell in love with helping those with trauma - which is why I became certified in Progressive Counting and trained in EMDR. I received my M.S. in Community Mental Health Counseling from the University of Rochester Warner School of Education, and my B.A. in Psychology from the University at Buffalo. Every client is unique, so I am experienced with blending approaches to make your treatment holistic and personalized to your needs and goals. By actively seeking your feedback, I can better zero-in on what will set you up for success, rather than provide a textbook "one-size-fits-all" method. My personal and professional experience has given me a deep understanding of what it means to lose control and how to help you navigate that challenging feeling. I know what it is like to not be able to do certain things and feel different from everyone else in the room. This has enabled me to connect and empathize with those who are often marginalized. I know what it is like to be misunderstood and mislabeled, and I will continue to fight alongside you to increase understanding, help you release oppressive narratives, and reclaim your story. I have learned the importance of advocacy, inclusivity, and amplifying your voice so that you are a partner in your treatment!
