You’ve thought about going to therapy for awhile now, but felt overwhelmed about where to start. You don’t want a therapist that just nods & “mhmms” while you talk. You want someone that really gets you, gives concrete feedback, and helps you make the changes you want to see. I’m not a blank slate type therapist, I bring my whole self to the room. Consider me your fellow journeyer, guide, hope holder, and joy discoverer. I believe that if I’m successful, I’ll eventually work myself out of a job. That means therapy is goal oriented, and we’ll track our progress together to get you closer to the life you want. I pair insight with concrete tools, offering both compassion & straightforward feedback. We’ll even laugh together along the way. I use a variety of evidence-based approaches to help my clients make change in their life. Translation: I help you understand how your past experiences connect to your current realities. I teach practical, effective tools that help you better manage your feelings & relationships outside of sessions. And I utilize EMDR to limit the way past traumatic experiences interrupt your life now. My typical clients tend to fall in 3 categories: relationship issues, betrayal trauma, and faith based counseling. I help young women dealing with relationship issues regain confidence and find their voice again. I help partners of sex addicts heal from betrayal trauma. I help Christians after faith deconstruction in the midst of complex realities. Therapy isn’t always sexy work, but we can work together to create meaningful change in your life. My hope is that as we work together we will not merely reduce symptoms but reclaim joy.
