Introduction

Seeking therapy takes courage and strength. I consider it a great privilege and responsibility to navigate this process with you. About Me I earned my B.A. in Psychology from Furman University followed by a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Southern California. I received specialized psychodynamic training at the esteemed Maple Counseling Center in Beverly Hills. I then went on to treat adolescents and families in crisis at multiple residential treatment centers in Los Angeles. Like many parents, my greatest teacher has been my daughter. About The Work I provide my clients with a warm and shame-free space to explore life experiences and how they impact current thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I believe therapy should be collaborative, revelatory, and most of all, helpful. My style is down to earth, personable, and gentle yet direct. I don't shy away from the hard stuff. My interventions are aimed at promoting insight and self-awareness, distress tolerance, improved communication, and self-compassion. My approach is founded in psychodynamic therapy and deep insight-oriented work. In addition, I intuitively pull from a range of other change-oriented modalities, such as CBT and DBT, to meet your specific needs. Together, we will establish healing through the empowerment of processing the past, learning coping skills to deal with day-to-day challenges, and creating meaning and hope for the future. The sessions may not always be comfortable or easy and it may take some time to experience the changes you seek, but I will be with you each step of the way. I am currently accepting adolescents, adults, and families for therapy and/or coaching in California and/or Colorado. I look forward to hearing from you.
