Introduction

Hello, I am Rabeea Baloch. I am the owner of Magnolia Counseling PLLC. I have a master's in Computer Science and a master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University in Texas. I am a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I believe that all humans are born with unique characteristics and strength and we all have the power of living life to its fullest hidden inside us. I am here to facilitate you in the process of unleashing your power to reach your potential growth in your life. I believe you are the person who is in complete control and charge of your life and your goals. My counseling is directed through a Person-Centered approach, Cognitive Behavior Theory (CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR); However, I may also use other theories as per needed basis like trauma-informed therapy approaches, DBT, Narrative therapy, or alternative therapies in my sessions including but not limited to mindfulness interventions, and Expressive Art therapy interventions. My therapy style is motivated by the American Counseling Association's section A code 4.b. I respect the diversity, values, beliefs, and culture of my clients and do not impose my values or beliefs onto them. I am open to learn and train about my clients' cultures and values in order to provide culturally competent services to my clients. I have experience in helping my clients heal through narcissistic parent abuse, domestic violence issues (active or past), after-divorce problems, anxiety disorders, depression, gender identity issues, religious trauma issues (active or past), adjustment issues, self-esteem issues, communication issues, relationship problems, transitioning through different phases of life, adjustment issues, and self esteem issues among many other different problems. I have experience in intervening with women issues, phase of life issues, and highly functional clientele. I strive to use my knowledge and expertise to create a comfortable, open, respectful, understanding, and non judgmental safe space for my clients. I will work with you to help you set your goals and reach them effectively and collaboratively. If you are ready to take a step to see yourself as a better version of you, give me a call or email me to schedule your first appointment.
