Introduction

Welcome! I’m Makenzie, I am dedicated to guiding individuals on their path to healing and self-discovery. With a background in addiction recovery, harm reduction, and child protection services, I have worked with individuals facing life’s most challenging moments. My passion lies in helping clients heal from trauma, navigate transitions, and develop resilience through evidence-based and holistic approaches. I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in social work, and I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, an effective method for processing trauma. I integrate various therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy, tailoring each session to your unique needs. My approach is holistic, recognizing the connection between mind, body, and spirit in the healing journey. I believe that therapy should be a collaborative and empowering process—one where you feel seen, heard, and supported as you uncover your strengths and move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life. Whether you are working through trauma, struggling with addiction, or simply seeking deeper self-awareness, I am here to walk alongside you. I look forward to being part of your journey. Let’s take the next step together.
