My name is Mandy Parida. I am a licensed mental health counselor in Seattle, WA. I have a masters of music from the University of Kentucky (2005) and a masters in Expressive Arts Therapy and Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University (2011). I have been working in private practice in West Seattle since 2015. Since the pandemic in 2020, I have been primarily seeing clients online via Telehealth. I tend to take a creative and nonlinear approach to healing, which is uniquely tailored to each client. I believe therapy is a journey and a partnership between the helper (me) and the doer (you). I have experience working in a variety of mental health settings and with a diversity of humans and their diagnoses. I am neurodiverse, identify as Queer, and use she/them pronouns. I live in West Seattle with my multicultural family and enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, skiing, swimming, and indoor activities like art making, music making, watching movies, and spending time with my friends and family. I also enjoy traveling and learning about other cultures. Creativity and the arts have been a big part of my own healing journey. I am highly empathic and analytical, which makes me exceptionally gifted at recognizing the qualities and quirks my clients show up with in the therapy setting. My goal as a therapist is to guide people back to center and a strong sense of self by encouraging them to tap into their individual strengths and use their own voice. I believe we all possess the ability to heal and that this path is as unique as our DNA.
