Marcia Flynt helps people address a variety of mental health concerns and specializes in trauma. Drawing from neuroscience, affect regulation theory, mindfulness, and many other therapeutic modalities and techniques, she helps her clients fully understand their situations using a strength-based approach. When you work with her, you will find that she is a compassionate, caring, nonjudgmental, and empathic counselor who will meet you where you are. What was your path to becoming a licensed professional counselor? Since I was very young, I was the helping person others confided in. During my professional career, I have held positions as an individual contributor, a CEO, and many positions in between in a variety of industries. The common thread throughout my career has been the ability to be a trusted confidant and help others. However, the range of topics that people brought to me was often outside of what I felt competent to address as an executive coach or mentor in the workplace. And there were many outside the workplace who were counting on me for help. I decided to go back to school and become a licensed professional counselor and focus on this helping profession as a career.
