I specialize in neurodevelopmental disorders, with a particular focus on autism and associated conditions (e.g., sensory processing difficulties, ADHD, Nonverbal Learning Disorder, Social Pragmatic Communication Disorder). Although I can work with any-aged client around neurodevelopmental issues, my primary interest is in early intervention: working with infants and young children and their respective parents. I can link older clients to clinicians that I supervise. My approach is child-led. I use a relationship-based play therapy model (e.g., DIR/Floortime, Play Project, Child-Parent Psychotherapy) to support child-parent interaction. Social groups are created as needed. I also provide parenting intervention during the perinatal period, including doula support. My training in Developmental Psychology, Infant Mental Health, and Clinical Neuropsychology, and my 30+ years experience, have taught me to put parents first, intervene early, and collaborate with medical doctors, developmental therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech and language pathologists, and schools for the strongest outcomes.
