Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor I (CADC I). I have been working in social services since 2012 and have been providing direct counseling support since obtaining my masters degree from Portland State Graduate School of Social Work in 2015. I provide individual therapy to adults on issues relating to: anxiety, depression, intrusive thoughts and/or feelings, life stressors, self-criticism, grief, and relationship dissatisfaction. Our time together in counseling should be engaging, thought provoking, and supportive. I also understand counseling can be painful at times. I am committed to being present alongside you during all these moments and to honor your exploration into where you have been, where you are, and where you would like to go. I can assist you in growing self-compassion, unhooking from painful thoughts and feelings, developing healthy coping skills, and supporting your pursuits of a deep and meaningful life. I value taking a curious and non-judgmental stance with all of my clients. My approach is person-centered, relational, and collaborative. I use frameworks such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Compassion Focused Therapy. I aim to be queer/LGBTQIA+ affirming, culturally sensitive, anti-racist, trauma informed, and weight inclusive. A little bit about me and how I recharge outside of my therapy role. I enjoy spending time in nature, attending to my plants, playing with my dog, reading novels or comics, enjoying video games, and adventuring in the world of D&D.
