I became a therapist because I believe that everyone deserves a safe space in which they can be heard and receive support in navigating any issue that is presenting and prevents them from being the person they want to be. I have experience working with children, teens, and their families, as well as young adults, working on issues ranging from anxiety and depression to self-esteem, trauma, difficulty adjusting to life transitions, complicated relationships, or with people who simply wanted to get to know themselves better. In my experience, a “one size fits all” approach does not apply when it comes to therapy. This is why I prioritize a person-centered approach. I incorporate trauma-informed care and various therapeutic interventions based on what each person needs, including existential therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, play, and expressive arts. Being an immigrant myself (I was born and raised in Italy), I know how crucial it can be to express our thoughts and feelings in our native language. This is why I offer therapy services not only in English, but also in Italian and Spanish.
