Maria DaSilva is a Licensed Certified Social Worker with over 8 years of experience. She is fluent in Cape Verdean Creole and Spanish. She obtained her Master's degree from Boston College in 2018. She has worked in various settings including Child Welfare, Health Centers, Schools. Maria enjoys working with adults individually and in groups and is passionate about psychodynamic therapy and truly believes in the power of self-care and self-healing. Maria believes in meeting her clients where they are and creates a safe space for processing and healing. She also utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy as treatment modalities to help clients build mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness and additional healthy coping skills. In her leisure time, Maria enjoys being with her family, especially the little ones, spending time with her friends, and practicing yoga and meditation.
