My goal as a therapist is to empower clients through the therapeutic process by promoting their mental health and well being. Through therapy I create a space where clients feel safe and comfortable while entrusting me as their therapist. I love helping people live their full potential by leading them on the path to discover hope, meaning and purpose. Clients are empowered to overcome obstacles that have interfered with living a well meaningful life. My approach is tailored to meet the diversity of each individual client. I use various evidenced based approaches to help my clients. I am culturally sensitive and understand that client's needs vary. My ideal client is motivated to change and prepared to do the work. As an ally I use my professional expertise to help clients accomplish their self identified goals. My values as a therapist are held on the belief that decisions should be shared and that therapy is collaborative. I am a EMDR Certified therapist, a trauma focused approach to help clients heal from unresolved trauma and memories. I am also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Person Centered Therapy, Mindfulness and other evidence based practices.
