My journey: I have been and am a student, school teacher, artist, and therapist. Originally born and raised in New York, NY. I’ve had the opportunity to live in other states such as Florida, Michigan, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and now Maryland. I am bilingual and can speak native conversational Spanish however, English is my primary language. I am married for over 32 years and have 1 adult daughter. I have interests in the art world, health, and have a spiritual background. I have worked over 13 years in the counseling field and have worked with age ranges as young as 6-70 years old. I have interests in relaxation training for anxiety such as EFT-Tapping, progressive muscle relaxation, and mindfulness. I am primarily CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) oriented. However, I also use person centered and solution focused therapies. I usually use CBT and Relaxation Training for patients dealing with depression and anxiety. I am a Maryland Board of Professional Counselor licensed therapist. I have a master degree in counseling science from Frostburg State University. I am also certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC) and a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA). Please understand that more serious cases of depression, anxiety, mood disorder, OCD, suicide/suicidal ideation, psychosis, and substances abuse deserve more intense in-person therapy which I cannot offer via tele-health at this time. I look forward to meeting you and see where I can provide help and support.
