Introduction

I am a graduate from Walden University and have a master’s degree of science in clinical mental health counseling (MS). I also received my bachelor’s degree from Berry College and my associate degree from Georgia Highland College. I currently have a certification as a substance abuse counselor (CADC-II) from the Alcohol and Drug Certification Board of Georgia (ADCBGA). I have worked in the field of substance abuse since 2016 and have extensive experience with treating individuals with opiate use disorder. I work with those experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, grief, relationship issues, anger issues, and trauma. I also see adults and children struggling with adjusting to a new culture as I myself was born in Ecuador and immigrated to the United States as a child and can understand how difficult it is to adjust to a new culture. My theoretical approach/ orientation is person-centered or client-centered approach which means that I am here for my clients and are here to listen to their concerns and be empathetic of their concerns and needs without judging them. I also practice cognitive-behavioral theory (CBT) as well as motivational interviewing (MI) and solution-focused therapy (SFT). I am a bilingual therapist, and I am fluent in Spanish. I also offer telehealth sessions for those individuals who want to participate in counseling but are unable to due to their work schedule, family life, etc. I accept clients ranging from the ages of 10 years old and older. I look forward to hearing from you.I am a graduate from Walden University and have a master’s degree of science in clinical mental health counseling (MS).
