Introduction

Having worked in the Texas school system for 30 years, Marla Sample has worked with many children that have had very diverse needs. She taught in the classroom for 19 years, was a School Counselor for 8 years, and then a Special Education Counselor for 3 years while earning her license to be a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist. Play Therapy has proven to be a successful approach to help children and families work through trying times as well as work on building relationships. When we work together, we can Heal, Rise and Shine.
