Mary believes healing starts with being curious about all parts of ourselves, even those that hold pain. Life has a tendency to throw curve balls that trigger old hurts and make us feel small and inadequate. It’s these very moments of vulnerability that provide opportunities to learn and step into a bigger version of ourselves - if we are ready. Mary considers it an honor to walk alongside you on your journey to connecting to yourself and the world around you, and figuring out next steps. She believes in a holistic approach that involves mind, body, heart and soul, each of which provide unique information about the work that is needed at this time. Mary Brutsaert, a licensed clinical social worker, was trained in EMDR, Parts Work, Mindfulness, and somatic techniques, all of which heavily inform her practice as a mental health therapist. She owns a private practice in Corvallis, Oregon offering individual therapy to people dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief. Mary is also an artist who discovered her passion for abstract painting in 2020. It is her deep desire to share her therapeutic expertise as well as her joy as an artist to help others unlock their own naturally creative and joyful state.
