Intrusive thoughts can leave you full of shame or crippled with worry, and can feel like they are taking control of your life and mind without your permission. Perhaps you struggle with these thoughts or worries, or you are a parent desperate to help your child with their struggle. Or do you deal with self-deprecating thoughts or anxieties that seemingly pop out of nowhere? These experiences can be incredibly frustrating, especially after you’ve spent so much energy trying to force the thoughts or feelings away. They can affect your relationships with partners, friends, coworkers, children, and especially with yourself. In my office you will find a collaborative, empathetic environment. I seek to treat each client with the evidence-based model that best suits their personality, needs, and goals. With children (ages 4 and up), I use play based approaches. With adults and teens, I work together with the client to find the approaches that work best for them. I integrate a variety of therapeutic approaches including person centered therapy, DBT, CBT, ERP, and IFS. I graduated from Reformed Theological Seminary with my degree in Counseling and I have been in private practice ever since. I live in the Jackson Area with my husband, David, and our two precious cats. I enjoy baking, beekeeping, crocheting, reading, and hiking! I am currently accepting new clients! I a looking forward to meeting with you.
