Mary Ellen Tillotson, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist who provides clinical psychological services to children, adolescents, families, and adults struggling with a broad range of short and long term challenges. As an educator and therapist, Dr. Tillotson additionally brings her unique perspective to helping parents, students and educators working with vulnerable youngsters who are grappling with issues ranging from grief to unmanageable stress. She also specializes in working with LGBTQ youth, adults, and their families. She is currently accepting new clients for telehealth appointments. Dr. Tillotson is an expert in the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD, dyslexia and learning disabilities. She has over 25 years of experience working in public school settings and agencies, where she has specialized in psychological assessment, behavior management, and teacher and parent consultation and training. She is also the former program director of the School Psychology Graduate program at Rhode Island College. Dr. Tillotson holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University at Albany, a M.Ed. in School Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Boston, and a Ph.D. in Psychology with a specialty in school psychology from the University of Rhode Island. She has lifetime certification as a School Psychologist with the Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDOE) and she is clinically licensed as a psychologist with the Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH)
