Mary Rose's Bio Welcome! I am a clinical social worker and the founder of Flying Bagel Counseling Services. I work with individuals and families of all ages in homes or out in the community, in office in Bremerton, and via telehealth. Throughout my career, I have worked with clients facing a wide variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, personality disorders, self-harm, substance and alcohol use, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and intellectual and developmental differences. I have experience working with survivors of interpersonal violence, American Indian families, and LGBTQ+ clients including trans clients. In my practice, I utilize humor and play to help clients tap into their strengths and meet their goals. While diagnoses may be required for billing, I view my clients through a developmental lens and as whole individuals in their environments - not simply as disorders. I hold a master’s degree in social work from Boise State University, and am certified in Infant Early Childhood Mental Health from the University of Minnesota. I am also certified in Attachment Biobehavioral Catch-up (ABC)-Infant and ABC-Early Childhood (6 months to 4 years) and have received training Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), narrative therapy, strengths-based approaches, and co-occurring disorders. I am currently being trained in EMDR and can deliver this service to all ages. With experience working in legal settings, residential and inpatient settings, outpatient clinic settings, telehealth, and school settings including early childhood and K-12, I offer a variety of services including group facilitation, professional consultation, and home visiting with families.
