MaryAnn Newsom has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with an emphasis in Child Development. Her Master's Degree is in Marriage and Family Therapy. MaryAnn is also a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist. Her primary clinical orientation is Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy. In addition to that, she also practices Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Insight Oriented Therapy. She is a Certified Clinical Telemental Health Provider-Associate. MaryAnn has completed extensive post-graduate training in a multitude of clinical areas. These training include, however, not limited to; Working with First Responders, Trauma Treatment, Grief, Executive Functioning/Prefrontal Cortex issues (ADHD, ASD, ODD…), Sexuality, as well as Nutrition and Lifestyle habits for Mental Health. MaryAnn provides Telehealth. She also leads therapeutic skills groups. MaryAnn enjoys working with Individuals, (18+) and Couples. MaryAnn has worked with numerous agencies including online-only platforms as well as in-person office visits. She has been practicing therapy starting in January of 2018 where she exclusively worked with clients who had experienced trauma as part of her practicum. Later that year, she started with another agency that she is still affiliated with providing therapy for a plethora of issues. She continues to provide services with a couple of different agencies. MaryAnn has morning and afternoon appointments available.
