my goal in therapy is to help you increase self-awareness and respect, learn acceptance, adjust behaviors, identify new ways of thinking, develop healthy coping skills, communication more effectively, and implement boundaries. we'll do this through a deep therapeutic alliance as we journey together. you are the expert in your life - not me. my role is join alongside you (with a little push here and there) to provide support, guidance, and insights. we will move at your pace helping you uncover and heal from the root and repercussions of your life experiences. i approach therapy as human first and therapist second. therapy is a sacred personal experience. in working together, clients invite me into the depths of their mind, heart, and spirit. i also invite you into mine, from time to time, when therapeutically appropriate to support the growth journey. i thrive facilitating a unique and comfortable environment where you can quickly feel safe bringing up absolutely any topic that impacts your life. i work from a person-centered, relational, and humanistic perspective while creatively weaving together evidence-based psychological practices. my primary approach includes cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, gestalt therapy, and eye movement desensitization & reprocessing therapy (EMDR). i offer a balance of indirect and direct approaches in session while regularly blending in my own flair of humor, wit, and personal experiences as therapeutically appropriate. ~metta~ may you be happy may you be healthy may you be safe may you live with ease ~ ~ ~
