Introduction

Experiencing my own lifetime of twists and turns, ups and downs, I discovered in 2019 that helping others live easier is my passion. Before that, I worked for two decades in human resources and executive management across both for-profit and nonprofit sectors. I hold a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Seminary of the Southwest (an Episcopal seminary in Austin, TX) and a Bachelor’s in Communication Studies from Texas State University in San Marcos, TX. My therapeutic approach blends evidence-based methods—like CBT, narrative therapy, Gestalt, and EMDR—within a person-centered, relational, and humanistic framework. You’ll also find a touch of directness, wit, and humor woven throughout. I work to create a space where you can feel safe, seen, and free to talk about anything—because if it matters to you, it matters in our work together. I’m honored to work with a diverse set of clients - gay, students, executives, straight, stay-at-home parents, lawyers, sex workers, healthcare professionals, therapists, queer, mechanics, ministers, and more. I see my clients deeply as fellow humans deserving of love, respect, grace, forgiveness, and dignity - no matter who they are, once were, or want to become. I approach therapy as a collaborative journey, walking alongside you with respect, support, and the belief that you are the expert in your own life. Together, we’ll explore the distress that’s impacting your day-to-day experience and identify new ways of thinking, feeling, and responding. Our work will focus on helping you live with more ease—emotionally, mentally, and physically. Through increased self-awareness, healthier coping tools, stronger communication, and clearer boundaries, we’ll move toward your goals. You don’t have to face tough times or seek solutions alone. A good therapist-client fit is essential to facilitate a successful and meaningful therapy experience. Therefore, I require a short no-cost consultation by video chat for us to see if we're an appropriate match. Not only must I ensure I have the appropriate knowledge, skills, abilities, and availability for your journey, we need to see how comfortable we would be working with each other. While I work with many issues, there are some outside of my scope of expertise - including, but not limited to, personality disorders, disordered eating, and schizophrenia. When either of us feel we're not a fit for the other, for whatever reason, it is appropriate and necessary I refer out to other providers. To explore working together, click on "Request an Appointment" and schedule your no cost consultation. Take care of yourself. "There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.” ~ Maya Angelou
