Introduction

We will walk beside you on your journey to healing. We believe that you already possess the inner strength and capability to meet all of your counseling goals. Mauli'Ola means Breath of Life in Hawaiian What is the meaning and significance of this name? I would love to share what it means to me! I am blessed to have family on the island of Maui. Every time I set foot on the land, my soul is home. I found my breath, inner strength and power to heal surrounded by this nurturing environment during my most challenging time. I have always envisioned sharing this therapeutic journey with others while incorporating evidence-based therapy interventions and approaches. My goal is to provide individualized therapy in a safe, relaxed, and authentic space. At Mauli'Ola we specialize in Trauma, Complex Trauma (CCTP 2), PTSD, Complex PTSD, First Responders, Depression, Anxiety, Dissociative Disorders, Mood and Personality Disorders. We incorporate interventions from all therapeutic approaches, including trauma informed care, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), internal family systems (IFS), person centered, strength based and talk therapy, eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR- Level 2 Trained), trauma informed yoga practices, progressive muscle relaxation (PMR) and more. In addition, Hero Dogs "Captain" provides Animal Assisted Therapy in most sessions depending on availability. You can find additional information about Captain at Hero-Dogs-org Service Dog Captain! We believe in a healthy life/work balance and the benefits of nature and grounding in the healing process. At this time, I am furthering my journey into awareness by working on my certification in Trauma Informed Yoga to help further support my trauma clients in session. In addition, our Resident Therapists and Counseling Interns continue to add to growth to the practice with expanding interests and expertise! I carry the spirit of Mauli'Ola with me and I would love to share it with you if you are looking for inner healing and finding the tools that work for you to accomplish your therapy goals. Kimberly currently has a waitlist and will place those who wish to be on it to be contacted as soon as possible. Licensed Residents and Counseling Interns are accepting new clients at this time!
