Introduction

Hi, I'm Mayá. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Pennsylvania, with over 11 years of experience working with individuals, children, families and couples. During this time, I've supported those persons with a wide-range of concerns, including relationship/familial issues, depression and anxiety and coping with loss and illness. In addition, I've worked with survivors of domestic violence as well as displaced persons. Many would describe my style to counseling as direct, honest and compassionate. While I have preferred theoretic frameworks, I think it's best to work with my clients on an individual basis and collectively develop a plan to address their concerns. I have found success utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy models. I acknowledge how difficult it can be with choosing to engage in treatment. It can be an overwhelming and daunting task. I appreciate your courage and would welcome the opportunity to work with you. Let's do this together. I look forward to speaking with you!
